Karthik Nagarjuna Tunuguntula

Graduate Student Researcher (Ph.D. Candidate)

He obtained a bachelor's degree from the ECE department at JNTUCEH in 2010. He received Masters degree from Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay in 2012. He was awarded as "The most outstanding student among all outgoing Mtech students of 2012 in electrical engineering". He worked as Engineer at Qualcomm till 2015. He is now a Ph.D. graduate working with Prof. Paul Siegel as an advisor. He maintains interest in Information Theory, Coding Theory and Statistical Learning. His current research emphasis is on polar coding theory.

Michael Baluja

Undergraduate Student Researcher

Michael is a fourth year undergraduate studying Cognitive Science with a specialization in Machine Learning and Neural Computation. He currently works with Professor Siegel on the use of error correcting codes to improve the robustness of neural networks used in natural language processing tasks. His research interests include natural language processing and neural computing.

Omer Sabary

Graduate Student Researcher

Omer Sabary is a PhD Student at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UCSD. He completed his M.Sc in 2020 and his B.Sc in 2018, both at the Computer Science Faculty at the Technion. His research interests are algorithms, and information and coding theory for DNA applications.
