Karthik Tunuguntla

Graduate Student Researcher

He recieved Masters degree from Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay in 2012. He was awarded as "the most outstanding student among all outgoing Mtech students of 2012 in electrical engineering". He worked as Engineer at qualcomm till 2015. He is now a PhD graduate working with Prof. Paul Siegel as advisor. He maintains broad interests in Information thoery, Coding theory and Statistical learning. His current research emphasis is on polar codes. He enjoys listening music and watching movies.

Pengfei Huang

Graduate Student Researcher (Ph.D. Candidate)

Pengfei Huang received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2010 and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2013. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the ECE department at UCSD and is working in Prof. Siegel’s STAR group. He is interested in wireless communications and storage systems. His current research focuses on advanced coding theory and distributed storage systems.

Wei Wu

Graduate Student Researcher

Wei Wu received the B.E. degree in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2013 and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, New York, NY, in 2015. He is currently a Ph.D. student working with Prof. Paul H. Siegel. He is interested in communication network, information theory and coding theory. His current research focuses on polar code and its applications.

Yi Liu
